Accelerator Application Deadlines 2026: Batch Dates Tracker
Published 2026 deadlines and cohort dates for YC, Techstars, Antler, Alchemist and VentureWell, with each date sourced to the program's own site.
Accelerator Application Deadlines 2026: Batch Dates Tracker
Accelerator application deadlines 2026 are set program by program, not on a shared calendar. Y Combinator's next published on-time deadline is July 27, 2026 for the Fall batch. Techstars, Antler, Alchemist and VentureWell each run their own windows, and several review on a rolling basis where applying early genuinely helps.
The failure mode is not missing a deadline. It is treating the deadline as the date you apply.
Two programs say the opposite in their own words. Antler tells founders to apply early to secure a seat and says applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis. Alchemist Accelerator points applicants at its homepage for deadlines and says applying sooner makes it easier to be considered. Neither is describing a queue that resets on the closing date.
Startup accelerator calendar 2026: the dates programs have published
Only trust a deadline you can find on the accelerator's own site. Aggregator roundups mix official and third-party dates, which is how founders end up planning a quarter around a number nobody published.
| Program | Published 2026 application deadline | Batch / cohort dates |
|---|---|---|
| Y Combinator, Fall 2026 | On-time deadline July 27, 2026, 8:00 p.m. PT | October to December 2026, San Francisco |
| Techstars Founder Catalyst Global, Spring 2026 | Opened December 9, 2025, closed February 18, 2026 | Program started March 16, 2026 |
| Antler, dated locations | No fixed deadline published, ongoing review | Residency starts July 27 to October 11, 2026 (see table below) |
| Antler, Canada / US / several Nordics | Rolling intake | Listed as rolling, no fixed start published |
| Alchemist Accelerator | Deadlines published on the program homepage | Next class begins January 22, 2026 |
| VentureWell Ocean Enterprise Accelerator | Stage 1 deadline July 9, 2026; optional Stage 0 deadline August 25, 2026 | Virtual training September 23 to November 4; in person November 9 to 11 |

Last verified: 21 July 2026. If a program is not in this table, we could not verify a 2026 date on its own site. Treat it as not published and check the program's site for the current cycle before you plan around it.
The YC application deadline: what an on-time submission actually buys you
The July 27 date is not the difference between applying and not applying. It is the difference between a promised answer and an open-ended wait.
YC's application page lists an on-time deadline of July 27, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. PT for the Fall 2026 batch, which runs October through December in San Francisco (Y Combinator). Applications in before that date should receive a decision by August 28.
Late applications are still considered, but YC does not promise when it will respond to them (Y Combinator). That asymmetry is the whole argument for submitting early: on-time gets you a date you can plan a raise around, late gets you a maybe with no clock.
The odds explain why an extra week of polish is worth less than you think. YC selected 260 companies for its Winter 2024 batch out of more than 27,000 applications, an acceptance rate below 1% (Y Combinator). Do not hold the application back waiting for a better metrics week. At that ratio a marginal traction bump does not move you, and a missing on-time decision date does.
For the form itself, see how to apply to YC in 2026.
Techstars batch dates: read the window, not the cutoff
Techstars publishes windows, and the window is open for months before it closes.
The Techstars Founder Catalyst Global Spring 2026 timeline is the clean example: applications opened December 9, 2025, closed February 18, 2026, and the program started March 16, 2026 (Techstars). Applications were live for most of a quarter, and the cutoff sat weeks ahead of the start date.
Two things follow for anyone tracking Techstars batch dates:
- The program page is the source, not the network page. Each Techstars program publishes its own open, close and start dates. A single global "Techstars deadline" does not exist.
- The close date is not the start date. Founder Catalyst Global closed weeks before the program began, and that gap is interviews, diligence and any relocation.
The windows are long because the funnel is large. Techstars reported supporting more than 10,000 founders through its global programs in 2024 (Techstars), and said its network had passed 10,600 founders by the time Spring 2026 applications opened (Techstars).
Rolling intake and accelerator batch timing: when there is no deadline at all
For rolling programs, the deadline is not a date. It is the moment the seats are gone.
Antler is explicit about this. It publishes cohort start dates, states that those start dates are not deadlines, encourages founders to apply early to secure a seat, and says applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis (Antler).
| Antler 2026 location | Residency start |
|---|---|
| Australia | July 27, 2026 |
| Germany | September 14, 2026 |
| United Kingdom | September 22, 2026 |
| Kenya and Singapore | October 5, 2026 |
| UAE and Saudi Arabia | October 11, 2026 |
| Canada, United States, several Nordic locations | Rolling intake |

Do not treat a start date as a submission target. On an ongoing-review program, the founders who applied in month one were assessed in month one, against a cohort that still had space in it. Alchemist frames the same idea, telling applicants that applying sooner makes it easier to be considered (Alchemist Accelerator).
When to apply to accelerators: work backwards from the start, not the deadline
Pick the cohort you want to be in, then count backwards through every gate the program publishes.
- Find the cohort start date first. YC Fall 2026 runs October to December; Antler's UK residency starts September 22, 2026.
- Find the deadline that feeds it. For YC that is July 27, 2026. For Antler there is no fixed deadline, so the answer is now.
- Find the decision date, if there is one. YC publishes August 28 for on-time Fall 2026 applicants.
- Add the gap between close and start. Founder Catalyst Global closed February 18 and started March 16, 2026. That gap is interviews and logistics, not free time.
- Submit inside the first half of the window, not the last week. On rolling programs this is the whole game, and on fixed-deadline programs it costs you nothing.
If you are choosing between programs rather than dates, the Sequoia Arc application guide and the Entrepreneur First application guide cover what each selects for.
One more thing worth planning for: nearly every founder applying to these programs is raising either way, and the ones who do not get in still need a round. Causo matches you to the investors most likely to fund your stage and sector and drafts the outreach, so a rejection in August does not cost you the quarter.
Program-by-program detail lives in the individual guides: the South Park Commons application and the Sequoia Arc application are the two most-read. See also what each accelerator takes in equity and published accelerator acceptance rates.
FAQ
When is the next YC application deadline? Y Combinator's application page lists a next on-time deadline of July 27, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. PT for the Fall 2026 batch, which runs October through December in San Francisco. YC says applications submitted before that deadline should receive a decision by August 28. Deadlines move every cycle, so check the YC application page for the window that is currently open.
When do accelerator batches start? Start dates are set per program and per location, not on a shared calendar. YC's Fall 2026 batch runs October through December, the Techstars Founder Catalyst Global Spring 2026 program started March 16, 2026, and Antler publishes separate 2026 residency starts including Germany on September 14 and the UK on September 22. Alchemist's homepage listed a class beginning January 22, 2026.
How early should you apply to an accelerator? Earlier than the deadline, because two programs say so in their own words. Antler tells founders to apply early to secure a seat and reviews applications on an ongoing basis, and Alchemist says applying sooner makes it easier to be considered. For fixed-deadline programs like YC, the on-time submission is what buys you a promised decision date.
Do accelerators accept late applications? Some do, but without the same guarantees. Y Combinator says it still considers applications submitted after the deadline, while noting it does not promise when it will respond to them. Treat a late application as a real option if you missed the date, and treat the on-time deadline as the only version with a published decision timeline.
Are accelerator applications reviewed on a rolling basis? Several are. Antler says applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis and lists Canada, the United States and several Nordic locations as rolling intake rather than fixed-date cohorts. On rolling programs there is no single cutoff to work backwards from, so the practical deadline is whenever the cohort fills.
