How the pitch deck roaster works

What does it grade against?
Problem clarity, market framing, team story, traction evidence, ask specificity, business model, and competition framing β€” slide by slide. Each slide gets a 0-100 score and a verdict (good / warn / bad).
Do you keep my deck?
No. The deck goes to our server in memory, gets parsed for text, and the buffer is dropped when the roast returns. We save only the resulting roast (so you can share the link) β€” never the deck bytes.
What format works?
PDF, max 10 MB, max 30 slides. The deck must have selectable text β€” image-only / scanned PDFs return an error message asking you to re-export with selectable text.
Is the roast based on visual layout?
Today, no β€” we read the deck as text, not as images. We can critique what each slide says (problem clarity, traction numbers, ask specificity, generic adjectives) but not how it looks. Expect a content-focused roast, not a design review.
Why is the rate limit so tight?
Each roast is a real LLM call against a non-trivial prompt, and the tool is free. One roast per day per IP keeps the bill bounded; if you need to iterate fast, that's a great fit for the cold-email-grader's rubric, which is also faster.
